CHILI VERDE BURGERS & DOGS

The sweet smell of summer...meat on the grill and the quintessential backyard BBQ food. Burgers and Dogs. Support your local butcher shop and get your burgers and dogs there. We use high quality, pre-made, beef patties and pork hot dogs. Our favorite butcher is Karl Ehmer.
Ingredients:
- 4 burger patties and 4 hot dogs
- buns - this is up to you - we like potato buns
- 2 medium heirloom tomatoes - sliced thin
- 2 small red onions - sliced thin
- lettuce leaves
- 2 large poblano peppers - cut into strips
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- pickled jalapeno
- cheese (if preferred) American or Cheddar.
- Black's Chili Verde Hot Sauce
- ketchup
- mustard
- sea salt and black pepper to taste
Marinate your burgers in Black's Chili Verde Hot Sauce while you prep the veggies and cook your meat. In a saucepan over medium heat, sauté poblano peppers in olive oil...salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
Light the grill and get it hot! Boil a pot of water. Sear your burgers and get some nice grill marks on those babies! Put your cheese on at this point if your going with cheese. Cook to preferred temperature. Get some grill marks on those buns! Once water is boiling drop those dogs in a shut it off (by the time you get back to them they will be ready for buns).
Build your burger and hot beef injections. Bun. Meat. Sautéed poblanos. Tomato. Onion. Lettuce. Not in that order but something like that. Condiments. Hot Sauce. Mustard. Ketchup.
